  13. The Zl\u0103tari (Goldsmiths\u2019) Church is a little rustic, but the tiled slopes on panel buildings (in the outskirts too) look quite nice.\n<\/li>\n\n
  14. Eclectic building (the whole city is like that, so what) of one of the oldest Romanian banks.\n<\/li>\n\n
  15. Famous C\u0103rture\u0219ti<\/a> bookstore is a charming cultural space with an impressive department of English-language publications. \n<\/li>\n\n
  16. Catholic Church of B\u0103r\u0103\u021bia<\/a> (Brotherhood) was built in 1629, but its first wooden version is 150 years older than Bucharest itself.\n<\/li>\n\n
  17. A lady in the green hat looks around sadly (and in vain) in search of equal rights for men and women.\n<\/li>\n\n
  18. The Curtea Veche Church of St. Anthony (1565) is the oldest in the capital. The hospodars of Wallachia were crowned here for two centuries.\n<\/li>\n\n
  19. The vast area of Bucharest fountains (they sing, dance and glow at night) with graceless panel buildings on the horizon.\n<\/li>\n\n
  20. Fancy windows slightly enliven the comfortless Trade Union Boulevard without a single bench.\n<\/li>\n\n
  21. The Ceau\u0219escu Palace<\/a> is the heaviest administrative building in the world. The standard of megalomania, insane luxury and bad taste.\n<\/li>\n\n
  22. Drama theatre named after the actress, teacher and translator Lucia Bulandra<\/a>, who headed it for 14 years.\n<\/li>\n\n
  23. Incredibly cosy Ci\u0219migiu Gardens.\n<\/li>\n\n
